India women crush England women for historic Test win at Lord’s Cricket Ground

India Women completed a dominant 270-run win over England Women in the one-off Test at Lord’s, with their spinners finishing the match inside 95 minutes on the final day.

Chasing 457, England were bowled out for 186. Sophie Ecclestone made a defiant 50, but Sneh Rana’s 4 for 42 ended England’s resistance. Rana took six wickets in the match, while Kranti Gaud’s first-innings 5 for 37 had set up India’s control.

India posted 285 in the first innings, led by Smriti Mandhana’s 83, Harmanpreet Kaur’s 58 and Deepti Sharma’s 57. After bowling England out for 170, India declared their second innings at 341 for 7. Yastika Bhatia starred with 113, supported by Mandhana’s 70 and Richa Ghosh’s unbeaten 50.

India’s spinners made light work of England on the final day.

The victory was India’s from start to finish. Their batters delivered when required, Gaud’s five-wicket haul established control, and Rana ensured England’s fourth-innings chase ended swiftly. India’s 270-run triumph also became the fourth-highest victory margin by runs in women’s Test history.
